Mark Nightingale

Mark keeps the engine room locked down with perhaps the most physical of all instruments, the double bass. Some players seem fixed to the spot; but our main man swings on his bass and literally rocks the stage!

Having a new member join an outfit that has been around for a few years is not very easy to accomplish! Fortunately Mark had been an associate of Ian's for many years. His personality and passion for sick humour gave him an instant pass port to the band!

Mark has been associated with the music industry for decades; he was a very solid member of the Folk tradition in the early years of the movement here in Queensland. He has been known to croon a tune or two and seems very happy with a violin under his chin as well. He shares the same vision and love of the genre as the other band members. His quick whit and keen humour keeps the band on their toes!
