Over the years Alex has had his fair share of guitars. He once had a passion for Rickenbackers but was lucky enough to land this Telecaster through our friends at Guitar Brothers.
His amps have always been Twins - he currently has himself a Vibrolux Custom!
Unlike many modern players Alex tends to play "natural" tones that he pulls directly from his guitar and valve amp. While we have witnessed him with the odd pedal he tends to prefer the natural style that his Fender's provide.
So nick-named by Ian Wilks for his interpretation of the great Albert King - who stands as a legend for most of today's blues musicians. While Alex does not report to be a note for note duplication of Albert, his passion and energy cannot be missed, his selection of licks and style, while definitely being Alex's own, have definite roots that just cannot be denied.
Like many of today's musicians, Alex has had the benefit of being influenced by so many of the great guitarists over the years. These influences creep into every performance, the raw energy can be heard on every track that he performs. Alex is a mild mannered professional by day and monster guitarist by night!
